They're two issues I have with this video. 1. Peggy has one Substitute teacher of the year three times. 2. Peggy's apple brown betty has a teaspoon of orange juice in it, because "nobody else does that".

    Episode idea,
King of the Hill, taste the meat not the heat.
The episode where Peggy and Bobby secretly love charcoal burgers.
Propane grilled vs traditional chargrilled burgers.

i prefer to slow cook the tomato sauce so that it doesn't burn on the pan as it caramelizes and so that it can convert the acid to sugar, then i add crushed tomatoes near the end before adding cooked ground beef (cooked in a separate pan to preserve the flavor) before finishing the spaghetti sauce, i like to do it this way so that its mildly sweet yet slightly acidic as well.. oh also i tend to put a literal ton of basil, oregano, tarragon, savory and marjoram.. mostly basil and oregano though.
i also hate mixing the spaghetti, i prefer to keep them separate and pour the spaghetti sauce over the noodles.
i grew up with powdered parmesan cheese and quite frankly hate the stuff.

I know that I shouldn’t challenge a cook as great as Babish, but my family is Italian and when they make pasta they break the hard pasta in half to make it boil faster because the sauce is always ready before the pasta and it decreases pre-hunger, also put some port into the sauce, trust me, it works.

As a natural born texan, I have some thoughts. 1. Fuck are you baking frito pie for? 2. You use colby jack for frito pie. 3. You forgot to add finley diced onion to the chili which you are supposed to heat in a pot and pour generously over a bowl of fritos. 4. It is optional but highly recommended that you add diced pickled jalapeños. My mom likes to add diced tomato. 5. To properly get wolf brand chili out of the can, you open one side completely, turn the can over the pot you will be heating the chili in and open the bottom side of the can until the chili falls out. 6. You are supposed to add a little water to the chili. It won't dilute the flavor and you'd be wasting a lot of chili to cover the necessary area. 7. It is crucial that you use wolf brand chili WITH NO BEANS. Bean flavor hinders this dish considerably. Wolf brand chili with beans is in no way bad, but has no place in frito pie. 8. Don't bake frito pie silly. The dish is dry enough with it. 9. This isn't so much a tip on making frito pie as it is a suggestion on eating it. Drink something acidic with frito pie. A soda, lemonade, not orange juice, etc. Frito pie can be a bit much without something the cut the flavor a little. 10. Shredded cheese is best for frito pie. It is easier to incorporate when mixing. Never buy a bag of shredded cheese, finding a block of colby jack would be best. Cheese is kind of a garnish. Fritos, chilli, cheese. Allow the eater to mix to their preferred incorporation.
