  • The day has finally arrived. The first December election in almost 100 years... crazy, right?! The UK has decided, so join us throughout the night where Jeremy Corbyn will gain the keys to number 10 and form a Labour government, or Boris Johnson will continue as Britains Prime Minister on his mission to Get Brexit Done.
IT’S LOOKING LIKE A TORY MAJORITY AS THE EXIT POLL HAS SUGGESTED THAT THE CONSERVATIVES ARE TO GAIN 368 SEATS IN PARLIAMENT WITH A MAJORITY OF 86.

    Stupid bitch.
That's how seriously they think about it.
    The entire electorate is Labour.

Hopefully now she's not an MP she'll go back to her own country. Before the results of the damage she helped cause become evident.

Thanks for running this. I only got to listen to radio 4 last night so I was interested to see what telly was like. Can't stand the telly so I skipped thru a lot, but still got enough to satisfy my inner election junkie.

@Unfree Radical You are correct. And The World Service has a very political agenda. Here's an example. They also have lots of programmes made by, and aimed at, women. The agenda (I think) is for women around the world who might be very isolated to know there are other women who speak to them.

@mescaline99 used to be a big listener, back in the early 2ks, tuned out of mainstream too long ago to ever seriously consider going back. Just election fix, it's all propaganda but fun still to see them worm and weasel on circus night. Now for some bread.

@Unfree Radical Try listening to the news on the radio too. Especially The World Tonight at 10pm. Most of the politicians who are on then have had a drink (or a hundred) and while nobody will ever come close to an uninhibited John Prescott or Frank Dobson, you can still tell the pissed ones. And The World Service! Has brilliant documentaries.

@mescaline99 good point, as it goes I didn't mind it now you mention it. Wanted to fast forward a couple of times but they were pretty good at keeping things moving when the pabulum got too flowing.

Actually I find the radio coverage more "rewarding" because I'm not constantly distracted by some fancy computer stunt which adds nothing to my understanding of the election in question

I know this might sound petty bearing in my the catastrophe that is about to engulf us, but you really must stop changing your theme music. The previous tune was excellent. If you think I'm wrong do a poll!

mescaline99 agreed. The previous theme was great and needed a few decades before changing it! Fine to remix Arthur but needed to be a better remix imo

This theme is Rick Wakeman's Arthur which is the proper theme, albeit a slowed down version of it.
