    As an Aussie/Englishman I never understood the sweet element in the breakfast - e.g. pancakes w/ bacon and maple syrup - and this dish is no exception. Normal fried bacon on top for me thanks

    I didnt drain it sufficiently, and probably made it too thick and did not get the consistency i wanted. Will try again though it was still tasty

    I disagree! Ramsey or not.I would shred the potato & onion,squeeze the liquid out well.Then add pepper & salt.Not flavor it then squeeze all that flavor & olive oil OUT!

    I have cooked a few of gordons recipes. They are quite rich and some of the flavors, like cayenne to be an odd combination. I hardly use salt and avoid pepper. This doesn't look appertising.

      It was very good, my fillet was more uneven shaped so it was very very rare at the bulky end, I gave 20 minutes in the oven, then another, 10, but it was still very rare at that end, but because I’d cut it open to check it, it didn’t look great for cutting at the table. I’d do 40 minutes total next time.
      It was very very good, it melted! The Parma ham is a pest, I could even see it, I do t know if it melted away leaving a salty coating, or if it stuck to the pastry and I just didn’t notice?
      Next time will be better. Took about a good hour from start to putting it in the oven.
