Beautiful gems. Look like Herkimer Diamond
There's something ominous about his place. I am moved to say that pile of rocks there likely formed a monument many many a year ago. My better half and I have found a bunch of beautiful places like this in our explorations too. I hope we find this place soon too. It's on my bucket list. Thank you for sharing.
just curious if you would sell one of your pendants you made??
Secrets secrets always secrets.....$ UTube $
THEY MUST NOT HAVE VALUE TO BE SO EASY TO FIND IN THIS DAY AND AGE
Do you sell any of your jewelry?
Thank you for showing and share the amazing treasures that only those with the quest for details and love of nature can truly see and appreciate! Megan
Just want to say your video really got me back into rock hounding and geology!! Keep up the great work! Also I sent you an email for the location, thinking of taking a trip out next week. Thanks so much!
Love these!!!! I wish we had stones like this in Virginia.
early in the video, looked like standing stones? (1:35)
I found some of those ugly one that look like Chalcopyrite at Alston Park

Nice vidio thank you ...is it possiple to buy one or tow stones from your collection?
I'm so happy that I found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, and insights. I too have a proclivity for all things nature. As well as believe that we all are intertwined with all things. Please continue to share. I live 3000 miles away and feel as if I'm on each and every journey with you! Rick on brother! Rick on!
So this quartz really is not worth much even if you make jewelry out of it, and it is toxic in some forms isn't it?
Looks like fun but the thought of rattle snakes would keep me away. Scared to death of snakes. Your video is peaceful and relaxing.
There's no way that this guy went out to nowhere and grabbed all these diamonds ok. If that were the case there would be thousands of people there back in the day. For real!!
I am so impressed if I were younger I would seek you out your my kind of guy. Sigh, unfortunately I am probably older than your mom! I would love so to acquire from you one of your wire wrapped Lake Diamonds. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org for you to contact me if this is possible. I have subscribed to you as I now enjoy exploring via youtube on my computer!
California has a lot of gold too, I'm thinking you might want to do some gold panning, I know I would want to.
May I talk to you on the phone?I’d appreciate it if you’d establish contact by emailing me at email@example.com if you can call me atTwo four zeroEight eight eighyEight five zero zeroI’d love to meet with you and get your help exploring this area and I’ll be happy to compensate you too. Please contact me ASAP. Thanks, Megan A.
What a peaceful and relaxing video thanks man
Green opal is not a thing here in California. It’s called serpentine.
These aren’t diamonds guys. They are quarts crystals and they are called lake county diamonds.
Are you stupid in the head? the numbers on the mohs scale are very far appart in relality, a 7 or an 8 is light years away from the hardness of a diamond that is 10,. a 10 is 124,000 times harder then a 9, lol and a 9 is 1000 times harder then an 8, do you get it lol
Looks like on your way to Mt. Lassen.
Those are absolutely beautiful! Nature and all its glory is always stunning! I sent you an email. Thanks for sharing your finds! I subscribed! 😘
Hard to tell without smelling it, but those plants in the rocks look like pitcher sage.

Gorgeous love. Please keep schooling us who have no idea from Jasper to Sandstone LOL thank you so much enjoying your videos
Do u sell them?
Enjoyed the video but exhausted all my online mapping resources trying to find the place. The only thing I haven’t tried is google VR, lol I was able to deduce that it’s a Pomo Indian legend but they’re at least as far north as Ukiah from my recent work up there.
one of the best videos I loved the wall and its easy to share your joyin hunting gem stones it reminds me of Oregon sunstone. the rare dark ones are very interesting .loved hunting at dust devil mine in Oregon keep your vlog going its the best ..
I live rocks and watching your adventures are very revealing things I guesses because I love geology but you explain it and show what u mean

👍💎 muito bom, cool 👍💎
damn why do i gotta be so far south in texas
DeBeers owns an industrial grade diamond mine at Table Top Mtn. in Butte Co. but the only place I've found any was on a levy near the Forebay. I've heard it said the mine lets people go through their tailings but I've never known anyone who has; most are still looking for gold.
Fabulous stones nice job👍🏻
Thanks For Watching !
Hey Nate! I love watching your videos and have mapped out a bunch of locations to check out. This one eludes me though so I shot you an email and am watching my email in the hopes of a reply ;) keep up the great work!
sent info let me know if it didn't get there, Happy hunting !
Is each stone worth some, I found one in Kern County.
wow! thats a distance away, I wonder where else they might be found?
Having grown up in Lake County Collecting Diamonds, this makes me miss home! I am the proud owner of a Purple hue large diamond my granddaughter found several years ago... Thank you for posting this... Memories of Loch lommond and Cobb mtn...
purple!! so rare! thanks for sharing !
Cool story, how romantic! I Loved it!
Thank You For watching !
I found alot of those in Canada...
I grew up coming here every summer to waterski and camp. I love this area. My husband's family lives in Clearlake area and I was given a little glass bottle of Clearlake diamonds. Mine are all pretty small and actually seem to have slightly different hues of color from blues to almost a pink, but it's so faint you have to have them together to notice it. I didn't realize they got so large. I would love to hunt for some. I love rock hunting. Been collecting since I was a little girl. :) EDIT TO ADD: My Clearlake diamonds are old. They had belonged to my husband's grandmother. Not sure how long she had them. She lived to be 87 and after she passed my father-in-law gifted them to me.
Hi there i would be interested in buying a 1" pendant with a 12mm hope for my chain. Keep up the fantastic videos.
Show Parabéns 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
Lake County Diamonds I have many. Be hunting for 40 years
where is this area located in california i may want to visit
Can u help me find this place I live in California and I would like to go I live in central California
Sorry man but those aren't diamonds.
Sorry man but you should learn a bit about a subject before commenting or at least pay attention to the video you're commenting on. Dude clearly says in the video that they aren't diamonds. California diamond is the name of these stones.
I'm pretty certain diamonds aren't jagged like that...
These aren’t diamonds. They are quartz. They are called Lake County Diamonds.
Those r raw un polished and uncut diamonds
Quest for Details u know there are actually low quality diamonds in the Stanford area?
just called California diamonds, they are Si Co2, thanks for watching!
I’m still puzzled n scratching me head .. r u sure those r not glass .. hmmm 🤔 .. I mean I enjoyed the video .. just too skeptical 🤨 thnx for sharing ... hope to hear from yeah again take care peace ✌️
they have a high silica content instead of carbon, but not glass they are, Si Co2, thanks For watching, look up moon tears.
Thought 🤔 Diamonds 💎 should be roughly color .. not clear .. unless they been polish in the shop .. ijs that’s all 🤓👍
Your are actually standing on the worlds most eroded volcano
Where is dis
Just say the word and if you come up to spokane i will put you up good food n company . I know where good stuff is all around , drive an hr to rockhounds paradise . I swear i found 3 of those prospecting a beautiful completely shaded creek north of here , hold them in your hand underwater and they disapear . Tellin you straight a really old retired state geologist told me where to go for all kinds of good stuff and i have yet to be disappointed . I have equipment for you but bring your detector , im so serious man . I grew up in cloverdale , mtn ranch , covolo , north spent many years in and around burney up from redding , later in novato . Was also raised all up the oregon coast , my dad was a timberfaller and a survivalist so i didnt live in a house till i was 12 , we lived off the land and deep in the woods in canvas tents . hope thats enough background , come up .
corporate world woke slave I’d love to connect with you on our adventures. You can watch my first 3 videos and get an idea. I’d love to meet up with you when we get to your area. And, before that it would be nice to chat to talk about the various locations your geologist friend told you about. My email is firstname.lastname@example.orgLooking forward to hearing from you.
You truly have a gift at finding cool gem stones and then to go the next step and use your finds to make jewelry! Loved your video so much that you have a next subscriber.. Please keep up your awesome work and hopefully some day our paths might cross since I'm in Butte County where the gold is hiding.
Three weeks ago I told you take me with you find some diamond You Don’t reply thanks
Holy Hand Grenades yes I do
its a long commute, but I can show you where they are at.
Have you been back to this location since the brutal Lake County fires. it's heartbreaking how bad the county has been again & again with fire. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
I live very near there and the land all around me is recovering, this area was spared, thank you !
Love your videos, you are the Bill Murray of rock hounds. But I wish you would do some more studying on rocks and minerals so that you can correctly identify and describe the things you find. These are not valuable carbon based diamonds. They are silica quartz "diamonds".
fair, in time , hopes of learning it all, thanks for watching !
My husband and I have been watching your videos and we like how you show us around and talk about what u find and such. Love the California diamonds and all the beach videos you have made.^^* Awesome stuff! Your jewelry is really beautiful, too! We live in Texas. Happy treasure hunting!
Thank you for watching !!
Damn I had to mute you
ouch !, but thanks for watching still, thanks for being strait, peace.
Take me with you please find some Diamond thank you
Thanks for sharing. I love exploring. I I drove up to this area. It was a 9 hour drive. It took me another 9 hours searching from other mountain peaks to find this location. You offered enough information in your video to find this spot. 2 words in this video used in the possessive form helped out tremendously. I did not make it to the flats. I found a small placer deposit that yielded a 100 carat specimen. Thank you, thank you. I would enjoy hanging out with you sometime. We are very much the same with respect for animal life and care for the land. I removed any trash I found along the way. Best Regards, Kenny
You guys are mean i am literally having a panic attack trying to figure it out iam always up in clear lake. Just can't figure out where this is i have hike every part of lake and cache creek wilderness 😭😢 please has pitty
IDK exactly where he's at but pretty much anywhere in Lake County, California. Especially on the Mt. Konocti side of Clearlake. Best to go hunting right after it rains. Just be respectful of the local's property. There are plenty of good hunting spots on public land.
Where is it?
Such Good News, !!
I got one the size of a softball
heard of them , a museum has one !! Love To Actually see one, plus remember, no matter what gem, at a certain size they will have crazy value, just because of the rarity of supper sized ones, like $$$$ compared to small of same stone
That looks like Butte County
close up in lake, co. just thought the gap in the hills west of butte. Thanks For Watching!
That looks like bigfoot country! Beautiful! I really love to collect and just study the rocks but I have noticed a lot of deforestation when it comes to large quarries. Thank you for the respect you have for the area and loved the romantic story! You have my respect sir! Hope that you keep it a secret cus once people find out they will tear up that area for the ice, because not everyone fallows the rock digging code and will excavate and destroy that beautiful area.
Trying hard not to hoard it or let it get hurt, all the land seems lonely sometimes , but I hope to only bring it respectfully souls, thank you for watching !
Do you have an email i would like to go on a california adventure with you to get some gems. Right now im in the bay area but i will be moving up to butte county soon
I am intast your work
Where is this location?

Lovely quartz crystals! Are they similar to Herkimer Diamonds in New York State? They sure look like they are. The Schiller effect on that one stone was gorgeous. Always enjoy your videos. You are such a nice guy and your pendants are beautiful and that ring, wow! Going to the next video of yours, now which one will it be? 😉😊
The herkimer are the closest looking things I've seen, these are a 7 on the hardness scale, Thank you for watching !
Yooooo pm me the location! share the love!
Nothing like that in Charleston brother.. absolutely beautiful!!!
Awesome video. Can they be found in southern California too?

Do they actually test positive as a diamond with a diamond selector tool?
I've never tested them , but that's a great idea, they have a different make up, but you never know. they are more rare than diamonds :)Thank you For watching !
Do you sell any of the stones or the jewelry you are making from these stones?
mostly just gifts, not much of a businessman, lol, but I love hunting , Thanks for watching !
Very cool! Watched it with my daughter and she was getting excited by the minute! All she was saying was "daddy can we go tomorrow, can we go ???" :)

I live in California where you find it at?
Im in cali too where can we go picking.?
