My better half and I have found a bunch of beautiful places like this in our explorations too. I hope we find this place soon too. It's on my bucket list. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for showing and share the amazing treasures that only those with the quest for details and love of nature can truly see and appreciate! Megan

There's no way that this guy went out to nowhere and grabbed all these diamonds ok. If that were the case there would be thousands of people there back in the day. For real!!
I am so impressed if I were younger I would seek you out your my kind of guy. Sigh, unfortunately I am probably older than your mom! I would love so to acquire from you one of your wire wrapped Lake Diamonds. My email address is ranchelleann@gmail.com for you to contact me if this is possible. Enjoyed the video but exhausted all my online mapping resources trying to find the place. The only thing I haven’t tried is google VR, lol I was able to deduce that it’s a Pomo Indian legend but they’re at least as far north as Ukiah from my recent work up there.
one of the best videos I loved the wall and its easy to share your joy in hunting gem stones it reminds me of Oregon sunstone. the rare dark ones are very interesting .loved hunting at dust devil mine in Oregon keep your vlog going its the best ..
DeBeers owns an industrial grade diamond mine at Table Top Mtn. in Butte Co. but the only place I've found any was on a levy near the Forebay. I've heard it said the mine lets people go through their tailings but I've never known anyone who has; most are still looking for gold.
Hey Nate! I love watching your videos and have mapped out a bunch of locations to check out. This one eludes me though so I shot you an email and am watching my email in the hopes of a reply ;) keep up the great work!
Having grown up in Lake County Collecting Diamonds, this makes me miss home! I am the proud owner of a Purple hue large diamond my granddaughter found several years ago... Thank you for posting this... Memories of Loch lommond and Cobb mtn...
I grew up coming here every summer to waterski and camp. I love this area. My husband's family lives in Clearlake area and I was given a little glass bottle of Clearlake diamonds. Mine are all pretty small and actually seem to have slightly different hues of color from blues to almost a pink, but it's so faint you have to have them together to notice it. I didn't realize they got so large. I would love to hunt for some. I love rock hunting. Been collecting since I was a little girl. :) EDIT TO ADD: My Clearlake diamonds are old. They had belonged to my husband's grandmother. Not sure how long she had them. She lived to be 87 and after she passed my father-in-law gifted them to me.
Sorry man but you should learn a bit about a subject before commenting or at least pay attention to the video you're commenting on. Dude clearly says in the video that they aren't diamonds. California diamond is the name of these stones.
I’m still puzzled n scratching me head .. r u sure those r not glass .. hmmm 🤔 .. I mean I enjoyed the video .. just too skeptical 🤨 thnx for sharing ... hope to hear from yeah again take care peace ✌️
Just say the word and if you come up to spokane i will put you up good food n company . I know where good stuff is all around , drive an hr to rockhounds paradise . I swear i found 3 of those prospecting a beautiful completely shaded creek north of here , hold them in your hand underwater and they disapear . Tellin you straight a really old retired state geologist told me where to go for all kinds of good stuff and i have yet to be disappointed . I have equipment for you but bring your detector , im so serious man . I grew up in cloverdale , mtn ranch , covolo , north spent many years in and around burney up from redding , later in novato . Was also raised all up the oregon coast , my dad was a timberfaller and a survivalist so i didnt live in a house till i was 12 , we lived off the land and deep in the woods in canvas tents . hope thats enough background , come up .

And, before that it would be nice to chat to talk about the various locations your geologist friend told you about. My email is bambamadventures2019@gmail.com Looking forward to hearing from you.
You truly have a gift at finding cool gem stones and then to go the next step and use your finds to make jewelry! Loved your video so much that you have a next subscriber.. Please keep up your awesome work and hopefully some day our paths might cross since I'm in Butte County where the gold is hiding.
Have you been back to this location since the brutal Lake County fires. it's heartbreaking how bad the county has been again & again with fire. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Love your videos, you are the Bill Murray of rock hounds. But I wish you would do some more studying on rocks and minerals so that you can correctly identify and describe the things you find. These are not valuable carbon based diamonds. They are silica quartz "diamonds".
My husband and I have been watching your videos and we like how you show us around and talk about what u find and such. Love the California diamonds and all the beach videos you have made.^^* Awesome stuff! Your jewelry is really beautiful, too! We live in Texas. Happy treasure hunting!
Thanks for sharing. I love exploring. I I drove up to this area. It was a 9 hour drive. It took me another 9 hours searching from other mountain peaks to find this location. You offered enough information in your video to find this spot. 2 words in this video used in the possessive form helped out tremendously. I did not make it to the flats. I found a small placer deposit that yielded a 100 carat specimen. Thank you, thank you. I would enjoy hanging out with you sometime. We are very much the same with respect for animal life and care for the land. I removed any trash I found along the way. Best Regards, Kenny
You guys are mean i am literally having a panic attack trying to figure it out iam always up in clear lake. Just can't figure out where this is i have hike every part of lake and cache creek wilderness 😭😢 please has pitty
IDK exactly where he's at but pretty much anywhere in Lake County, California. Especially on the Mt. Konocti side of Clearlake. Best to go hunting right after it rains. Just be respectful of the local's property. There are plenty of good hunting spots on public land.
heard of them , a museum has one !! Love To Actually see one, plus remember, no matter what gem, at a certain size they will have crazy value, just because of the rarity of supper sized ones, like $$$$ compared to small of same stone
That looks like bigfoot country! Beautiful! I really love to collect and just study the rocks but I have noticed a lot of deforestation when it comes to large quarries. Thank you for the respect you have for the area and loved the romantic story! You have my respect sir! Hope that you keep it a secret cus once people find out they will tear up that area for the ice, because not everyone fallows the rock digging code and will excavate and destroy that beautiful area.
Trying hard not to hoard it or let it get hurt, all the land seems lonely sometimes , but I hope to only bring it respectfully souls, thank you for watching !
Do you have an email i would like to go on a california adventure with you to get some gems. Right now im in the bay area but i will be moving up to butte county soon
Wow love the legend, very interesting. Those stones are beautiful too. The ring and your pendant wraps are stunning. Petrified wood is calling you too I think.

Lovely quartz crystals! Are they similar to Herkimer Diamonds in New York State? They sure look like they are. The Schiller effect on that one stone was gorgeous. Always enjoy your videos. You are such a nice guy and your pendants are beautiful and that ring, wow! Going to the next video of yours, now which one will it be? 😉😊

So this quartz really is not worth much even if you make jewelry out of it, and it is toxic in some forms isn't it?
Looks like fun but the thought of rattle snakes would keep me away. Scared to death of snakes. Your video is peaceful and relaxing.
