How can this guy be so professional. Almost crying and then behaving like clean, classic, Chael interview style. Awesome guy!

Damn. This made me sad. You technically may not be a champ, Chael, but you are a boss!

He’s my Reggie Miller of fighting. This guy is a solid piece of iron in soul and spirit.

I love how Chael distinguishes himself from the dumb meathead fighters.

Chael " American Gangster" Sonnen one of the best to ever do it. Chael excels in every area of this fight game. It is a sin that he never got a belt. Fighters should definitely take a few pages from Chael's book on skills, training, promotion, attitude & athleticism, work ethic, analysis, and so much more. Chael embodies so many qualities that make him leagues above the rest.

As a artist myself trash talking is disrespectful to the arts
Was Bruce Lee Chuck Norris a trash talker
If you trash talk you have to back it up..
    And Chael fell down..as did
    Mctapper..

What a Legend. Chael P. Sonnen was never afraid to hand out ass whoopins and wasn't afraid to take them. He has to be one of the most entertaining fighters to ever exist. Whether it was media day, post-fight, on a sports/news station, he had the charm and charisma to make every time he would open his mouth an absolute pleasure to watch. The sport is going to miss the American Gangster. I wish you well in retirement!

Chael is just not quick enough now. His whole game was predicated on takedown, but hes getting in too slow. Shame. In his prime, his takedown was unstoppable. He just wasn't good at finishing.

Scott Create a New weightclass at 195 pounds have chael come out of retirement and do a super middleweight tournament and just feed trash cans to chael so that he can be a WORLD CHAMPION. But I know i’m just dreaming. It was a great run for the bad guy and i’ll have trouble not watching him fight anymore it was great. I went to MSG to see him retire and nycb live when he lost to Fedor and even though he lost i didn’t for once think he lost any of his toughness. And one more thing you never mess with a...........

It was ALWAYS a pleasure to watch Chael promote his fights and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him fight. I come from a wrestling background and I always root for the wrestler and Chael was a great ambassador for all wrestlers who transitioned into MMA. I will miss watching you compete in MMA. Enjoy your retirement...it is well deserved!!! I am so looking forward to watching his podcast and whatever other venture he decides to delve into especially now that he will be able to give more of himself to those endeavors without having to spend time training and promoting himself in MMA. Good Luck my friend!!!

Chael Sonnen, the sport lost one of his biggest stars. Please stay active in the buisiness!! I truly believe you are a very genuine guy!! Your grid is what I most admired and aspire to have. I'm 41 now so it's too late for me too show it in the cage but if I have a son, I'll teach him to have the same grid, in all aspects of life.
    Godspeed (even ifI'm not religious).
