Just in case you are wondering what this is the next generation of, that would be the old green sea bags. They are still very usual but the FOR76 is much better!

This guy is one of the best for reviewing outdoor gear and experiences as you can see by the lowest thumbs down ratio I've ever seen on TVclip. Keep up the great work guy!

4.5 lbs for 100+ liter bag, sweet. Whether it's $230 or $80, I think it would be worth if you needed it. Thanks Luke

  • Roostercord Outdoors

I got a brand new one on the web sight, in the clearance section, for $73. Only catch is, you don’t get a choice of colors.

Hey Luke, is that pack waterproof you said the zippers are but is the pack. Just wondering if it would work as a good portage pack for my canoe trip adventures thanks. Reason I was asking is because I couldn't find anything on there website about waterproofing.

These are great bags, Luke, and I loaned mine to a friend for his road trip. He absolutely loved it and offered me a hundred bucks and I accepted. It was too large for my needs and I bought a 5.11 HBD Mike duffle/backpack and a range bag both in coyote. The two comprise my bug out bags. They are also perfect for travel (flights) and no check in is required; of course sans weaponry or ammo. If I ever need a large duffle bag I still have my green one issued to me in 1965 when I joined the Air Force.

Would make for a great go bag, similar to the North Face design, will have to compare dimensions.

OR you can go to the navy exchange and get the REAL one for about $80...
Also, the last way to carry Mr. Civy didn’t mention is you wear one on the back and another in front...true deployment style!

This is what I have going to the airport or on missions. It has wheels and it will fit a large ruck inside it. It's $100ish brand new. Nice review man! FPG makes some nice packs this ones no exception! I own a MPG Marauder pack in multicam and have used it for a few years now and it works great! Plenty of organization and i like the fold up removable minimalist sleeping pad in the back. I also like the fact they put large grommets for drainage on the bottom of the pack. Some companies don't do that! Good strap orginazation aswell with the web dominators, i love those things, i put them on a few of my other packs. Holds all my gear and some. The pad in the back also acts like a internal frame sheet (there is no frame). The hypalon bottom which is abrasion resistant is a nice touch! My only complaint about their marauder pack is the top zipper pocket. It has a waterproofed zipper but the pocket itself is not waterproof, thats weird to me?. Not too big a deal though if you have a pack cover. High quality overall construction. They are expensive on their web but i see them occationally in excellent to like new condition on ebay for around $250 so if you can afford it grab one i highly recommend! Good luck with your FOR76! Hike on!

I just use this bag on a trip from DC to Dallas and it was great. It is a little heavy, however it offers you a lot of space for packing stuff and does not take up a lot of space. I flew with this bag as carry on for the entire trip. The website listed below is where I got my bag and I think it's a little cheaper than what Luke paid for it. militaryluggage.com/

That bag looks about like the bag the Air Force issued us for deployment to cold weather areas and I always emptied out all the cold weather gear except for the parka which I wore so I could bring back from places like Japan, and South Korea. While away out of the country we always loaded up on items we purchased to bring back with us.

It was a pretty good cut from an old lawnmower that I was trying to get running for my neighbor. More like a cut and a rip on some rust; luckily, I'm all healed up now but I didn't want it to get inflected. - Luke
