From 4:42 "yeah, she's mixed up....you know, that thing where you remember being the victim of a violent sexual assault..." That deserved serious and sustained applause.
And it all happened just like he said.

Is this purely to see if his character is good enough? Because any alleged rape is so old he can't be punished by law for it. And 30 years is enough for a person to change. Why are they slandering his past and not focusing on if he is doing something wrong NOW

The accusation is based solely off one person's word against another.
The event is 30+ years old during which time it has never been made before.
The event includes multiple witnesses, all of whom state nothing like the accusation happened.
The therapy notes do speak of some event which occurred as described, but it never mentioned Brett Kavanaugh.
Now, I don't like Kavanaugh and do not want him appointed a Supreme Court Judge. I don't like his character.
But, charges this weak should literally not even be publicly made. This is because it is far too easy to make false accusations like this and we have far to many examples where people have come to actually believe some events happened which never in fact happened, something we have proven happens. Before convicting someone in even a Civil Court, it should require more evidence than that.
Now, when someone does sexually abuse another, we should work hard to discover this, prove this, and convict the guilty party. But, because it is very, very well known that it is easier to convict people, there were protections about this placed directly into the Constitution of the United States of America.
People are innocent until proven guilty and for criminal offenses the burden of proof lies upon the government, thus they need to be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
We have lost this in modern times. It has become common to convict people of sexual charges with little to no evidence beyond one individuals unsubstantiated word against another. That allows for hysterical witch hunts to happen.

I’m disabled so I did what I always do: I put in for my absentee ballot this morning. There’s no way I’m going to miss this one. Does anyone else remember the song that Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young sang live in front of an audience: “Let’s impeach the President for lying . . . Who’s the man who hired all the criminals . . . The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors . . .They bend the facts to fit their own stories . . . Breaking all the laws in the country . . .” On and on it goes. BTW, that song was recorded in 2006. Things have only gotten worse. (I hope I don’t get into trouble for tweeting some of the lines from that song.) The song is even more relevant today. Also BTW, has anyone else noticed that the “president " is getting more and more blonde? “Is it true blondes have more fun?” (Wow, I really revealed my age with that one!)

The only issue I have is the comment about a “sexual assault phase”, because it bypasses the issue. If anyone can have their career derailed by allegations that do not require proof, isn’t it fair to ask whether that is something we should be concerned about? None of us knows what the truth is, I’m more than willing to see an investigation, but I acknowledge that investigating activities from decades ago rarely brings about the undisputed truth. Or maybe it does and my worries are unfounded, but no one is discussing it. Instead we get jokes.

Nitpicking aside, I hope an allegation as serious as this is thoroughly investigated before Kavanaugh is permitted anywhere near a position of power and public trust. The American people deserve better.

Also, FBI can't investigate because they don't do anything but federal crimes. That is state jurisdiction. I'm not sure if this comedian knows what he's talking about. I'm only an average citizen and I know how the laws works. I'm worried that more idiots will be on live tv giving speeches on serious matters such as Kavanaugh case. No time, no day, no year? Her doctor wouldn't know these items, so the memory would have to be vague. If she went under hypnosis with her doctor, this memory could have been planted, or at least changed to include Kavanaugh. It's time to check out the doctor.

SOMETHING YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT CORY BOOKER!
Sen. Cory Booker Admitted to ‘Groping’ Female Friend at 15
by Dr. Susan Berry 21 September 2018
A Star-Ledger columnist has revisited a piece written by New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, in which he admitted to “groping” a female friend at age 15.
On Thursday 20 September 2018, Paul Mulshine asked, “Guess who wrote the following”:
    www.nj.com/opinion/index.ssf/2018/09/cory_bookers_lost_youth_it_looks_like_spartacus_ha.html
"New Year’s Eve 1984 I will never forget. I was 15. As the ball dropped, I leaned over to hug a friend and she met me instead with an overwhelming kiss. As we fumbled upon the bed, I remember debating my next ‘move’ as if it were a chess game. With the “Top Gun” slogan ringing in my head, I slowly reached for her breast. After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my “mark.”
Our groping ended soon and while no “relationship” ensued, a friendship did. You see, the next week in school she told me that she was drunk that night and didn’t really know what she was doing."
Mulshine had cited a portion of a piece written in 1992 by - as he calls him - “our junior U.S. Senator, Cory ‘Spartacus’ Booker,” when the senator was a student at Stanford University.
The column, titled “So Much for Stealing Second,” was apparently written by Booker to highlight his conversion from a 15-year-old who was “trotting around the bases and stealing second” to a “sensitive man” who came to understand women as victims of men’s sexual “power plays.”
In his piece, Booker proudly boasted that his transformation was so stark, one college friend even referred to him as a “man-hater.”
In a second column, cited by Fox News, in which Booker referred to “date rape,” he admitted, “With this issue as with so many others, a dash of sincere introspection has revealed to me a dangerous gap - a gap between my beliefs and my actions.”
Booker’s writings have drawn criticism, as they have circulated once again, since he is considered to be a potential 2020 presidential contender.
“But that column puts the senator in an awkward position regarding the allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by psychologist Christine Blasey Ford,” Mulshine pointed out as well.
Now-Sen. Booker has called for a delay in the vote to confirm Kavanaugh, in light of Ford’s accusation of sexual misconduct against the nominee - which Kavanaugh denies - over 35 years ago.
“It takes enormous courage to come forward publicly as Ms. Ford has,” Booker said. “The Senate owes it to her and every survivor of sexual trauma to listen to her story and gather all of the facts before moving forward with this nomination.”
The New Jersey Democrat also said Ford’s accusations against Kavanaugh are “serious, credible, and deeply troubling,” and called for an FBI investigation into the allegations.
“But based on that Stanford Daily column, Booker should be giving Kavanaugh the benefit of the doubt as well,” Mulshine asserted. “The point of it was that the future senator had ‘a wake-up call’ and decided ‘I will never be the same.’”
Fox News reported that Booker’s office denied he is guilty of any hypocrisy, and painted the senator as a victim of a “right-wing attack.”
“This disingenuous right-wing attack, which has circulated online and in partisan outlets for the past five years, rings hollow to anyone who reads the entirety of Senator Booker’s Stanford Daily column,” Booker’s spokesperson said in a statement.
“The column is in fact a direct criticism of a culture that encourages young men to take advantage of women - written at a time when so candidly discussing these issues was rare - and speaks to the impact Senator Booker’s experience working to help rape and sexual assault survivors as a college peer counselor had on him,” the spokesperson added.

“Mixed up” is assuming the best intentions. She’s lucky people are believing she isn’t operating in bad faith, given she has failed to substantiate even one of her claims. If you ask me, she isn’t mixed up at all. She’s a dirty lying whore of a puppet. Nothing more than a mannequin for the Democrats to drape their lies upon. She was told to write that letter. She was told to send it to Feinstein. The letter was written and sent shortly AFTER Kavanaugh had been announced as Trump’s pick, it’s all a carefully orchestrated power grab by the Democrats, resting its success entirely on whether Americans would be stupid enough to buy anything they said as long as the words were written in a woman’s tears. And guess what? They were right. They are that stupid. You are that stupid. Each and every one of you has fallen for it. The reason the term “sheeple” exists is because it was made to describe people like you. You’re nothing but vote-cows, hooked up to the Democrats’ milking machine every other November. What do you think happens if the cow stops producing its milk though? Off to the slaughter, of course. They will not hesitate to sacrifice you, your reputation, your family’s name, anything related to your personal or financial success in the altar of public opinion. They use the scraps of meat to feed the heifers, to show them how terrible all those who oppose them are. Eventually they, too, will realize that there is more to the world than they’ve been told, that their milk is worth more than being wasted on the Dems, who will only throw it into the dumpster. And they, too, will find themselves placed upon the altar. And so the cycle repeats itself.

  • Rational Conservative

First off, I would call "I don't know where, when, or who else was there, but it happened," kind of mixed up, or at least a very spotty memory.
Second, if you don't believe that the Senate's investigators are all over this, you are delusional.
Third, the reason that FBI investigated Clarence Thomas was because the alleged assault occurred in a federal building. An alleged crime occurring between two teenagers in a private residence is investigated by state or local authorities.
Democrats are supporting Ford. Fair enough; any woman making this kind of accusation deserves to be heard. Why don't you talk about Karen Monahan. She has the date, place, time, and medical records that corroborate her claim of sexual assault against Keith Ellison, but democrats are trying to smear and ignore her claims. Supporting the claims of only the women you want to support is not the way to stand up for women.

Probably once in his lifetime (and only because it’s a soundbite) Trump wasn’t wrong (not that he knew why): “The FBI does not do that”-investigate sexual assault, because it is not a federal crime. IF it were, though, the Senate and/or its committees have no jurisdiction over what the FBI decides to investigate or not investigate. The FBI, however, is charged with investigating the background etc of SC nominees.

For all those with the refrain sounding something like, "but, why 35 years later? She should have said this years ago." um...no. This woman's act to speak up now is patriotism. That which you want to forget is now taking over a seat in your country's justice system. You know the person is immoral. If not now, when else to speak up? It is not unreasonable to understand why sexual assault victims often try to bury it deep, and forget. Surroundings/culture mitigate. But that guy is now going to judge the law & order of your own country now? Oh, hell no!...would be a reasonable reaction. As to, "why now?" These are all valid considerations, and one that warrants an FBI investigation. This is not some random job's criminal check application. This guy is taking over one of the limited seats to influence the country's law&order. And he may be immoral. Should that not disqualify him from such post? Does that not warrant an FBI investigation? Seems reasonable to me.

What are we talking about? Rape, murder, child abuse? Or an inappropriate remark towards a woman at a high school party where everyone was either pissed or stoned 35 years ago? What if some day it turns out that Steven Colbert said a four-letter-word during a junior school lesson? Will he be forced to spend the rest of his life in a camp for the homeless because no one dares to give him a job again? Remember the US is the only country in the world where a 10-year-old who saw his younger sister pee is registered as a sex offender for live and everyone can look him up and track him down on internet pillories. I fully support the Dems' attempts to stop the Red hipocrisy, but they should take care not to become even more hypocrites themselves.
Or, as a wise man said two thousand years ago: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.

"No, because most men DON'T go through a 'sexual assaulter' phase."
    Seriously.
