That guy that was pressing the brakes the whole time needs a high powered rear wheel drive car so this way he can do a burnout every time he would pull off from a stop.
To do a burnout on a rear wheel drive car all you have to do is apply the brake and press gas.
My ex girlfriend and a friend of mine drive with 2 feet. He doesn’t hold his foot on the brake but he does use his left foot to press brakes and right foot to press gas.

My owners manual says to gas with a minimum octane of 87. Not 87 only, a minimum octane rating of 87. I can legitimately run 89 in mine. I can also run up to 10% ethanol in my vehicle. I drive a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 318 V8.

  • Peter B.

Number 1 reason for bad gas mileage: aggressive driving.
I used to work with a guy who got 90 miles per tank. I told him it was probably because he was a very aggressive driver. I told him to follow the speed limit in town and doing that tripped his gas mileage.
Same thing with me and my dad. I drove 50km/h in town he drove 70. He had a 1983 Pontiac Parisian and it burned 15L/100km when I drove it and 30L/100km when he drove it.

    • Peter B.
      Peter B. 17 days ago

Another way to get terrible gas mileage is to make a lot of short trips less than 5 minutes. My 1993 Ford Crown Victoria burned 9L/100km in the city hot and running and about 25L/100km on the cold start. So 27mpUSg hot city to 9mpUSg starting cold. The colder it is the longer it takes for the engine to go from 9mpg to 27mph. So run your arronds all at once. Saves time too.

Another misconception people have about oil is what the numbers mean. A 5w30 oil means when its cold it flows like a 5 viscosity rating and 30 after its hot. Totally backwards from what youd think but thats how its formulated. Thin when its cold for start up to get to crucial areas fast then thicker after its hot to give good lubrication. Actually the (w) stands for winter. 5 is the winter or cold rating.

  • JackTannehillPromoter
    JackTannehillPromoter 20 days ago

I've been using premium fuel in our 2009 RAV4 Base with the 2.5 four cylinder and getting 10% better MPG. Okay I do believe it's not because of the higher octane and it's not because of carbon buildup in the engine cause the engine has less than 25,000 miles on it. The reason is because the fuel I'm using is ethanol-free. If I could find ethanol-free regular I would use that but only ethanol-free premium is available locally.
I'm averaging 29.7 MPG overall and have gotten as high as 33 on a trip.

Yes fu uo , I wrote him somewhere else about my '97DOHC Neon. I twice got 20 or so less miles/tank and both times FAULTY 02's. Now Neon has 305,000+ miles; been ran with 89 oct. & simi-syn oil. (dealer said higher HP than with 87 for that engine; like the ecoboost mustang Scotty mentioned). On trips I got a good *overall* 34mph with typ. 36mpg @ 70mph. Still original*clutch!! Quite good for a throw-away-car; only real*problem has been electrical.
