2:18 Is it just me, or does the General's roar sound a lot like Benedict Cumberbatch's performance as Smaug?
Imagine....he was next in line for 2000 trine...hilarious!
2:18 Pro tip: Never ‘EVER’ go up against SkekUng, Otherwise he’ll win Trial by Stone & you’re ass is out!
Robert Englund should be Skekung's voice for season 2 and we all know him as Freddy Krueger and maybe have the wisest of the Mystics voiced by Jim Cummings
I wonder if they are goingTo bring back this GeneralIn the next season of the showAnd who they are going to getTo voiced him
SkekUng's voice is metal af.
3:43 Lord Tywin: Any man that says I am king is not true king any skeksis that says I am Emperor is no true emperor.
"I AM EMPEROR!!!"indeed. of like 8 people. congrats. you literally just lost over 10% of your people.
@Johnlindsey289 no, the netflix series takes place something like 800 years before the movie. it takes hundreds of years of war between all the races of Thra before it gets to the point it is in the movie.
@Tetra Digm In the netflix series it takes many years after the events of the graphic novel prequels and in between 24 years before the movie
@Ami Quinton not at this point in time. at this point virtually everything had been corrupted to the extent that there barely was a world beyond wilderness. their rule ended something like 1000 years before this, during the netflix series.
They are also ruling all of Thra until their defeat.
It's both a shame and a good thing Skekmal was dead by this point. I have a feeling he and Skekung would be a deadly combination.
It definitely would be
Notice that the first one to menacingly approach SkekSil to humiliate him is SkekTek.He's having the time of his life
You just know that happened because the writers of Age of Resistance while watching movie to look for certain cues to follow, noticed that The Scientist was the first to go in for the 'kill'."Hey, maybe we can give him a reason to hate The Chamberlain!"
Ik wouw dat Chamberlain won
2:19 Me when My teacher emails my parents about my homework
I swear I get chills down my spine at 2:20. Damn SkekUng that ROAR.
who else were sad because they didnt actualy fight
ME THE EMPERAR
im so late but i love this scene
holy all you can hear when the chamberlain get's stripped is:AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAand then it's: "MMmmMMmmMm"
3:06 when your doing the dishes and somebody puts another dish in
1:35 SkekTek and Ok look like they're at a rap battle!
After seeing age of resistance I wonder if chamberlain was planning on this the whole time.
Slave Master: Trial by Stone! Slaves Raise the Stone! Get Out There! Move! 0:11
SkekNa: Trial by Stone! Slaves Raise the Stone! Get Out There! Move! 0:11
0:11 and 0:32 same skeksis, different voices
Was a short reighn tough
Exactly perfect 🥰
it was 2:25 that the chaimberlain knew...that he just screwed up big time
Women laying in ponds, distributing swords, sounds like a better system then "who break stone first".
That's for skekTek's eye
"TRIAL BY STONE!"biggest mistake of his life to suggest that
No kidding. It's like watching David Spade challenge Sylvester Stallone to a boxing match.
You can’t have someone be your emperor if they can’t even hit a ROCK that HARD!
And you're certainly not going to tell someone who can hit a rock that hard they can't be emperor.
Boy's locker room:
3:34 now bow down to me....I am emperaaaaaaaaaaaa!😂
this showed up when typing Democratic debates in the search bar
So this is from where GRR Martin stole the idea of trial by combat?
No that actually exists. Not anymore, obviously, but it was a common practice during the medieval period and some portions of the industrial era.
No, trial by combat is an actual practice that many cultures did
This is how every political debate should be settled. Don't even try to argue with me on this one.
I never understood why an intellectual would challenge a brute by picking a brute event.
The winner is decided by the audience of Skeksis around them who'll want to get on the Emperor's good side. They decide which attacks are the most impressive. So typically the Emperor always wins so long as he can swing a sword and the battle is rigged from the start. It's not really a test of strength as much as authority. But then SkekUng shatters the entire stone to pieces and there's no possible way for SkekSil to top that and his plan blows up in his face.
Maybe it was the only option available.
They are all arrogant. He probably thought he could win.
i love the skeksis
Why does the Slave Master have a wet, raspy voice in 0:11 and then a deep one in 0:33?
I feel bad for Chamberlain seeing him naked makes me wonder how they pee in that one scene in AOR?
I guess Hoggle isn't the only Jim Henson creature to piss
Some things we're better off not knowing the answer to.
When that one Skeksis urinated with three streams? Maybe it's (well, apparently they're) retractable? Not exactly something I want to be thinking about. Kind of comical, though.
Retractable Alien Dong
The virgin chamberlin vs the chad skekUng
i love skeksis
didn't Chamberlain kill the General?
@Ty Sargent Skekvar was the first general, SkekUng became his replacement and a garthim master
He killed SkekVar the General. This is SkekUng.
Shame. Shame. Shame.
I wish the series had music like this.
SkekSil the Chamberlain: "Chaos is ladder, see? Hmmmm..."**as Game of Thrones theme plays in the background**
If you've seen Age of Resistance, then you know the Scientist is getting much pleasure out of tormenting the Chamberlin.
@weldonwin I think Chamberlain was in an "act now or give up the throne situation.
I would to
@georgeowain oh thank you for clearing iit up i was so confused when watching it
Actually the General in AOR and the one in the film are two entirely different characters. With the latter being sometimes referenced as the 'Garthim Master' instead and also being absent from the Netflix series, say for the General mentioning him in the final episode.
it was more appropriate for the garthim master to become emperor because now he has more power
"Card games on motorcycles."
here after resistance
Kind of here after the new show
Anyone else notice the general here and the general in the new series look different
SkekUng is the general's replacement and will appear in season 2
@WolfMaster did you watch the last episode?
darthfisto33 I have watched it
Watch the new show and you will know why
They're apparently two different Skeksis
Is chamberlain suppose to manage the household? Or manage the money and/or is the representation of them?
He's supposed to be like the Prime Minister, or something.
I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve only just realised that at 2:18, one of the other skeksis actually the General’s actual Skeksis name, skekUng
Here's what I find interesting: Once a Skeksis is stripped, it's shown to be a scrawny, weak looking creature. They cover themselves in large, bulky clothing so that they look like they're big and impressive, but underneath it all, they're all rather pathetic. The Skeksis aren't powerful, they're just pretending to be.
Well, in the animal kingdom, you have to puff up to make yourself look more intimidating to the other animals.
SkekUng is old but anything but WEAK. He’s one of the strongest Skeksis. And most of the others are pretty strong too Skeksil did hit the stone pretty hard!
Did you not see the part where the General cut the stone in half? And later on, Chamberlain was strong enough to cause a cave in with a punch. Sure, they maybe withered, but they sure as hell ain't weak.
Well they are still "powerful" compared to gelflings and podlings. Much bigger and stronger, despite being old and scrawny
Age of resistance out tommorow. Trail by stone everyone
For a bunch of evil vulture assholes they are quite good with follwing rules Il give them that. Even when Chamberlan comes back they let him back in as a reward. The trial by stone has a clear winner and there is no debating it for years on end. They just get on with it. Politics these days are insane no one can agree to anything but back in the day they took out swords and handled it properly.
