Was exactly the same for my daughter, first the Easter Bunny. One that went down, the tooth fairy and Santa went too. A bit too much to ask that they believe a rabbit paints and carried eggs.

Funny story, but isn't 11 a little old to still believe in those things? I remember I was 6 or 7 when I learned about Santa, and I was fine with it. But to be fair, I was always skeptical of that kinda stuff as a kid.

I and a few of my friends 'sort of' believed in Santa Claus when we were ten. We more or less knew it wasn't real but we liked to think it might be, so we would deliberately not ask too many questions, and ask our parents not to tell us whatever they knew.

This went down exactly the same way between my 8 yr old daughter and my wife, except they weren't in a limo. My wife was putting her to bed one night then called me upstairs to talk to her after the fact. The blood had left my wife's face at the fact of ruining her Christmas for the rest of her life within 5 minutes. Girls are so bright! I told my daughter that Santa was real and his spirit of giving lives on through Christmas memories of parents and caregivers to their little ones. That's even more amazing than a magical sleigh.

danimalmx3 Damn, you’re so articulate describing him as the “same.”
So he always plays the character of a millionaire, musician, married, father of 2 girls, who lives in CA?! You must watch a lot of sci-fi if you expect actors to be exponentially different than the characters they play. Im guessing you’re about 15 since you clearly haven’t seen much of his work and have the vocabulary of a poorly educated adolescent.

rjeven024 well, and that’s your choice. Some, including myself, look back fondly on waiting for Santa, Easter bunny etc as I was a kid and it was a simpler time. I was able to have a childhood and make believe and of course by the time I was 8 or 9 I knew the deal, but it was fun while it lasted. Nothing wrong with believing in things like that when you are a kid. World gets very real for you soon enough.
