My mother always added sugar to cut strawberries and said it helped to make them juicier for strawberry shortcake.

I would also cut up strawberries and put them in a bowl will milk and sprinkle sugar over them as a kid.

I put whipped cream on my fruit, not sugar. Its really good though. Coconut whipped cream is suprisingly good too.
You guys should do a pie/desert taste test using a sugar substitute like stevia or Splenda and see if Rhett and Link can tell the difference!

I put salt on grapefruits.
You could taste regular foods (pasta, steak, fruit, vegetables etc) and see how they compare when you can't taste any of the natural sugars.
Also, salt on fruits is a thing. It's a flavour enhancer, it literally makes everything taste better, by boosting the natural flavour of the food.
Heck yea I love putting suger on a bowl of strawberries and then let it sit in the fridge it's the best if you havent tried it do so especially if your patient enough to let it sit over night I was just talking about it the other day I rarely do it now but I definitely still love it
