Using just one screen with virtual buttons and software to control everything, is a terrible TERRIBLE idea in a car.

I wish he could have tried out the performance model. It got an update and can go 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, and Tesla is conservative on their performance numbers so it's probably faster.
Other than that, best non biased review.
Tesla lovers (like me) overlook things that because they love it, and the haters would gripe about unimportant things and not be able to weigh the good and the bad.
So again, great non biased review.
    Will show to my friends.

I respect Tesla for making something different, but come on. The reliability and cost repairs on this thing will be outrageous. Everything is controlled by that goofy screen, have fun replacing that whenever it breaks. I wouldn't even trust that thing in cold winter states to function.

TFL'S Model 3 was involved in a minor fender-bender about 3 months ago that, for various reasons including the body shop ordering the wrong parts, still hasn't been fixed. A repair that would have cost a couple of thousand bucks on a 'nomal' car ended up costing over ten thousand bucks on the Tesla. TEN THOUSAND BUCKS!

The only thing impressing me when it comes to the touch screen, it's incredibly configurable, beyond this, I don't see the advantage of using a screen for standard functions, like air condition, sound control, drive mode, etc.
It's distracting in the first place. A standard button doesn't require me to have to look at it, I feel it and I push/turn it, that's it. Further, I don't have to go through several menus to find a function, a button or a dial does the same immediately without any menus. The most funny thing is that there are not less buttons, there are a lot of buttons, only that they are on a screen and not physically existent. It's actually more complicated, except for car journalists, complaining and whining since decades about the many buttons in cars (well, they had a point in the 80s, no doubt). I see the move from physical buttons and dials to touch screens as a a step back and not a step forward. I can't understand how it's forbidden to handle a cell phone while driving, but it's ok to handle a screen.
Again, the transformation of of a physical button or dial, that you can actually feel and don't have to look to find and use it, into a function integrated into a touch screen, does not reduce the number of buttons, it makes it more complicated to use and way more distracting. Further, if your touch screen is not working, your whole car turns into a useless piece of technology. What about repairs? You're totally dependent on the manufacturer. Take a look at Apple's Repair and Maintenance policies and its Terms & Conditions and you know what I mean.
I consider physical buttons and dials should not transit totally to a touch screen and as usual, a balanced approach is much better.
With regards to TESLA, the fact that the screen is in the center and you don't have any information, like speed, directly in front of you, is just ridiculous. As well, where is the advantage of not having any control buttons integrated into the steering wheel? Instead you have the steering column adjustment integrated. Really great, I adjust the steering column all the time, so it makes sense.
