When I realized one of the themes was "yo-yo", I immediately thought of Tommy Smothers. Then you go an announce that you have a signed yo-yo from him. So cool!

B.if the are rusty do they get washed

    • Lofty Pursuits
Lofty Pursuits  8 months ago +1

The hook gets washed daily. It also gets seasoned with bees wax it does not rust. Do you let your cast iron skillet rust?

There is a shop in this world which sells toys, held world yoyo competition championships, has an antique yoyo collection, an employee who has won multiple yoyo competitions, and who makes Victorian style hard candy IN STORE for people to watch?
It's like, everything a 10 year old could ever want as a place to work. I'm so jealous.

How long does it typically take for you guys to make a batch of candies? From the videos, it seems like it's a pretty short amount of time but I'm guessing it's probably more.

Have you ever considered something like the hotdog rollers at gas stations to keep your rods rolling while you cool them?

    • Riley Summers

If you watch some of their newer videos they now have a batch roller that they use for their large batches

I think they cool down fast enough it's not really necessary. But I'm sure larger candy producers use something like that in their automation.

      Kristina G 2 years ago

Ah okay but I was just saying I notice Greg's technique I was wondering if the person helping him at the time was new because their technique was like they were still getting used to breaking, rolling and pulling the candy, I think their gloves said Jorann on them

    • Lofty Pursuits
      Lofty Pursuits  2 years ago

+Kristina G we have lots of people, but mostly Greg does the videos (mostly because it's hard to fit two people and a camera in the candy area)
