Can we send that guy back and get a smarter immigrant? Is there a swap program of some kind for that? If they haven't got a smarter one, how about a funnier one? What happened to Kimmel's show? When did he stop with the hotties jumping on the trampoline at the end? Man, you look away for a few years and everything changes.

The Month/Day/Year system is not 'American' -- it's British, although the British have since converted to using the European Day/Month/Year system. If you don't believe me, go look at old gravestones in British cemeteries.

I agree metric system is more logical, i.e. meters to km vs yards to miles, but I honestly have a problem estimating how a tall a person is with meters. since most height is 1-point something where as feet inches, it gives you a category, 5 foot something, 6 foot something.

    • annelies buist
      annelies buist 4 days ago

I think it is more about what you grew up using. for example, I grew up using the metric system and, therefore, am good at estimating a length in meters. However, if you grew up using foot and inches, you are better at estimating a length in that. I have absolutely no clue how big something would be if it is 5 foot long.

    • Jennifer Q
