The soldiers of the grand armee would commit mass suicide if they saw the shithole that France is today. Their "revolution" against civility doomed France and the world.

@Şinanay Ryuk Cause here thousands of troups are fighting. In ww1 and ww2 frontlines were extended by hundred of thousands of troups on hundred of kilometers in ww1 the german blitzkrieg was stopped forcing a tranched war. In ww2 it wasn't done in the western front but it was done by the soviets on thousands of kilometers.

How many times did France start a revolution?

    • Jérémie Marion
Jérémie Marion 6 months ago +2

1789,1792,1848 (failed one),1876 if i recall and after getting a more democratic regime we can count the massive strikes to fight the power with shutdown of the country 1936 1946 1948 1968 1995 and today 2018-unknown Yellow Jackets not sure if it will lead to massive change in the political system but history will tell.
I also forgot counter-revolutionary coups, diverse forms of terrorism, right now it's the 5th Republic and it's been 230 years since 1789, French people are agitated
You never know when my people start being mad about something but when it's starting nobody has a clue where it's going, right now it's been 5 months of protests and still going, and if the clown Macron is trying to trick the people, he might even start a new Revolution because of his cluelessness.

The Netherlands (Dutch Republic) fought two centuries to keep the French out of their country and succeeded, but in 1795 they were totally overrun. By many the French were even seen as their liberators (from the ruling elite). Fact is that this war was the definitive end of the Low Countries being a world superpower.
