Excellent series except for Bill Bob Thornton, who just can’t pull off being a dangerous psychopath. He’s physically too small and slight, and his stupid bangs make it impossible to take him seriously. It seems he’s trying to emulate Javier Bardem’s character in NCFOM with his riddles, but Javier is big and intimidating, and his weird hair added the right touch of madness. I often found myself wondering why someone didn’t just beat the crap out of Bill Bob. On the other hand, Kirsten Dundst was so good I didn’t realize it was her for the first hour. But that Deputy Molly Solverson is a SUPER LADY!

This is from Wkipedia - Fargo is an American black comedy-crime drama anthology television series created and primarily written by Noah Hawley. The show is inspired by the eponymous 1996 film written and directed by the Coen brothers, who serve as executive producers on the series alongside Hawley. The series premiered on April 15, 2014, on FX,[1] and follows an anthology format, with each season set in a different era, and with a different story and mostly new characters and cast, although there is minor overlap. Each season shares a common chronology with the original film.
They stopped after 3 hihly acclaimed seasons (see scenarios and cast for each on Wikipedia).

are you retarded? It's comedy as well. Do you not get it because it's pretty subtle but very funny. Makes fun of the people from that area. Get out more, this show IS funny as well as dark. The trailer can't give away more of the thriller stuff because it will be ruined. DUH!

You don't know what you're talking about. This is some special kind of "comedy". I understand what you think when you read "comedy, drama" but this show mixes them so well that you won't be able to laugh when you want to.

Question: I don't remember the scene from 0:45 in the trailer. But, I binge-watched all of season 1 on a couple of long flights last week. Was that scene cut from the original broadcast, or just edited out by the airline?

Why is everyone talking about Breaking Bad? These are two completely different shows! If it's because Bob Odenkirk is in it, then where's the Sherlock fandom talking about Martin Freeman? Breaking Bad and Fargo are two amazing shows for different reasons, but don't bombard the comments of a FARGO video with BREAKING BAD comments. Please and thank you!

because dull retards think they are being original and creative by talking about a character that a certain actor has played when he/she is playing a complete different character...and every one of them thinks they are the first to make a "better call Saul" comment

As a Minnesotan (and one who intentionally tries to avoid "the accent,") I find their poor attempts at a rural Minnesota accent incredibly distracting. Everyone sounds like they have really shitty Irish accents. The only people in this video who have it right are the police chief (Bob Odenkirk, who I think nailed it by not laying it on thick) and the office people being interviewed.

    • Sam Brown
Sam Brown 2 years ago +15

      +NorthWriter I think that's kinda the point.
It's how they did it in the movie. Stereotypical accent, accentuated to make it more of a comedic aspect.

The show is good. Not as good as Breaking bad, but passable. Only thing that got on my nerves was that Scooby-doo like character of Molly. Her real life looks and that "must know everything" behavior was just too much. Season 1 - 7/10

    • youbetu18
      youbetu18 Year ago

i mean hard not to be biased since you cant influence that, but i remember that i started watching breaking bad at season 2. Only because of a friend who was into it and had already seen season 1. you know how it is. after season 3 i decided to finally see season 1 and thought it was amazing. in fact if i compare it i think Fargo 1 cuts short. but i give fargo 1 a win over breaking bads season 5 both parts. those ones i despised.

    • youbetu18
      youbetu18 Year ago

i agree on the molly thing. they could have made her a little more charismatic. this way she just weakly pointed at lester from the first second on without real hard evidence over and over again and somehow got her way because luckily malvo came back to town. pathetic. no real counterpart to the really exciting story on the other hand.

    • one2gaming
      one2gaming 2 years ago +4

+Marinkovich Fucking bias man. You've seen every season of Breaking Bad and you see it all as 1 great piece. That's years of appreciation built up as a big block of "this new thing is not as good as my big block."
Season 1 of Fargo > Season 1 of Breaking Bad. This is the only comparison you could make of which is even slightly fair.

Breaking Bad is an incredibly consistent show, that is unique in the way that it has such a solid tale amongst multiple seasons. It is great, amazing, one of the best shows ever, but to compare 1 season (debate-ably better than any individual season of Breaking Bad) to an entire show is so silly.
