Don't know if anyone else told you, but half of the time in the YC-14 clips, you were showing the McDonnell Douglas YC-15. It was the camo 4-engined aircraft. Might want to correct that so people will think that you know your stuff.

A lot of people think that 757 is a testbed for the F22 but that's not true! This 757 was the original TRUMP private jet prototype he designed himself! Read in Trump voice: I want it to have the pointy nose of that F52 you know ? ok and also little golden wings on top. I saw it on Putins Tupolev Tu-144 and I'm pretty sure that's what makes it go supersonic. It will do all the airplane stuff, but better...it's gonna be huuuge best airplane ever!

    • Thies
      Thies 9 days ago

@vrsca89 Thanks a lot … Can't you keep a secret ? YES, that IS Trump's proposal how to make the next "Air Force One" more cost efficient. As you have lifted the cover, we might as well go the full hog. The next presidential plane will be a mixture of Dreamlifter with an umbrella on the roof, canards on the front like the Catfish and engines on the wings like the YC-14. And those "supersonic " engines are tested in the X-32. 4 more of them will be build as sentries patrolling the "Mexican Wall" 24/7, dropping a greasy mixture on illegal immigrants spotted climbing the structure.

The E767 is or can be a flying command post much like the EC135 was years ago. Maybe the DreamLifter carried the fuselage of the DreamLiner. Did you notice the two outboard hinges toward the aft of the plane. That whole tail swings open.

    • James Bennett
      James Bennett 4 months ago

That was an old statement about the F-4 Phantom. "You can make anything go fast with a big enough engine". "You could make a house fly with a big enough engine.", etc. Still, it made for a dangerous house fly.

    • Kenneth Powell
Kenneth Powell 4 months ago +3

Which is basically what the F-16 is. It is ONLY because of the immense power (and computers) that plane can fly. But you're absolutely correct. With enough power to generate speed to force air over a wing.....you could fly a brick.

    • Thies
      Thies 9 days ago

@R W A Very well observed. It actually starts already at 6:00. The whole footage of the 757-200 "Catfish" is mirror reversed … Hm, strange.

  • hankus253
    hankus253 4 months ago +1

It may have been mentioned already but the Catfish is shown being landed at Boeing field in Seattle. FWIW The picture of the landing is reversed ( see the words GNIEOB ) on the side of the plane. The Catfish is land from the south which should be going right to left with downtown Seattle coming into view at the "North" end of Boeing field upon completion of its' landing. I often see this distorted view of events in documentaries, is there a specific reason for these reversed images? Just asking.

That 757-200 with the goofy looking canards had an F-35 (maybe an F-22, but I don't think so) nose attached and there is little doubt it was a test platform for the radar within the physical envelope. I'm actually amazed they allowed it to be seen in public!

Maybe I'm just dumb.BUT there were two planes at number one. (YC 14) One was a twin High Mount Engined freighter & one was a four Low Mount Engine freighter, or does it morph in flight?. Description of the variants (all 6) would assist in showing what they were made to do. I guess that Mediosse really should be Mediocre.

The Boeing 757-200 Catfish was the first 757 ever built. It was primarily used as a test bed for Lockheed Martin F22 Raptor’s Avionics and sensor integration. The Boeing fitted this aircraft with a canard above its cockpit so as to simulate (F-22 /F35 ) wing sensor layout......If you noticed the pilot windows were blacked from the inside.

    • irtesam ahmed
      irtesam ahmed 6 months ago

      well thanks for the information

    • caleb young
caleb young 6 months ago +1

irtesam ahmed at the time being was trying to compete with other acraft componeys for space inside the airplanes so boeing elongated their newest airplane and they needed more lift on the nose to they added another lifting surface (wing) to the nose. That of course increased drag and slowed down the airplane and in that decreasing fuel efficiency

@Aryan BALIGA An umbrella to test whether the fuselage underneath it does last longer, when it is protected from rain, snow and sunshine. The test results are quite promising, which is giving the designers headaches, what shape the complete protection structure should take eventually. The project ist better known as "roof aligned (to) dimensionally adjusted requirements" = RADAR.
