Jack the brightness at 720p or keep the same brightness and upgrade the projector to 1080p and I'm sold (just assuming they would have to sacrifice brightness or resolution to upgrade the projector from currently)

Blackview are the worst products ever and even worse customer service. They claim to be a rugged phone but my screen cracked from not even a 3 foot drop on a wood floor. The screen cracked in the center which would have to mean the screen had a bubble. The camera is absolutely terrible and leaves a stupid blackview logo. The WiFi has terrible service. The battery barely lasts. The programmable action button does not work. No headphone jack. The type c usb is not a normal size and have to use adapter if you don't have the original cord. All matters have been sent to blackview directly with no response and no action. Never get a blackview product. They are garbage.

For everyone who says about samsung BEAM,
I've used Samsung BEAM and using Blackview MAX 1and there is a lot of difference.
    1. Blackview MAX 1 is a laser projector and
BEAM is not laser prijector and need to adjust the focus to get clear picture.
    2. Because of laser projection it can be kept in any angle and this is not possible in BEAM
    3. And the laser projection distance, width and height are very high compared to BEAM
    4. Battery consumption is very less compared to BEAM
MAX 1 provides the latest technology where as BEAM is a old school because it got introduced long back.
So those 2 phones cannot be compared.
Moto Z also similar to MAX 1 but the size of the projection is less and price is more.

Yes what about the Samsung Beam? This not a new concept. Sure there maybe improvement over the Samsung Beam, but just because it had a projector in it and a pretty good projector. did not make it a popular phone.

To all the idiots talking about previous models that has the same concept, they didn't have a laser projector that has 720p picture. You can't even compare the previous models to this one, know your info before you bitch.

It is sad that people speak about the Galaxy Beam and Motorola without knowing that not all projectors are equal. This is a lseer projector not LED. It has auto focus, is 720P and little in common with previous products that had a projector and-or projector option. Please do your own due diligence. The company responsible for the tech is microvision.

    • Stephan De Vetten
Stephan De Vetten 4 months ago

It says 720p but trust me thats extrapolated. Im guessing its 640x480. I cant read text thats on my phone on it even if projecting from 1 meter

Now if the screen can turn off while still projecting that would save serious battery life. Turn the screen into a touch pad with a curser. And then to turn the screen back on use a a gesture like a 3 finger swipe
